Eric Stanton’s sadistic women often take time to peform especially cruel acts on the buttocks of the men they enslave. I particularly remember a couple of women who used one man’s but as a dartboard.
You are wishing some woman would do this to you, aren’t you? A rare – hence expensive – Eric Stanton paperback.
John Cleve was a pseudonym of the minor science fiction writer Andrew J. Offutt. Why was the publisher being punished? Did he publish books like Punished Publisher? Professional dominatrices? I don’t know. Since the artist is Eric Stanton we can feel fully licensed to assume they are women who would enjoy doing pleasurably cruel things to men like us.
A few sample pages from the story. I suspect the entire Reunion in Ropes is available in one of the reprint books. I like Eric Stanton’s sequential narratives. But they have one big limitation for me. The man being dominated and whipped is always a bad person. I can’t identify with that. I’m no longer as scrupuously, fastidiously polite as I was as a young man. But I’m not rude to women. Or men. Or even cats and dogs.
You folks are my erotic kith and kin in our pursuit of this damned crazy and beautiful passion. But you do put me off at times. I agree that Stanton’s last work was inferior to his prime. This is the fate of so many creative artists. But if you look I don’t think Stanton was being lazy. He was rushed but much of the ability is still there. Stanton wasn’t drawing for your pleasure. Nor his own. He was working like crazy to support his family. But you shouldn’t make it sound as he was at fault or wicked in some nutty fashion.

My own favorite. I don’t know why so the story can be whatever I wish.
My thanks to the estimable Lobojack for the images. I’m a bit puzzled by the sequence. She has a riding crop or cane, then a belt but ends up using her hand. Not that those details really matter. Stanton’s great quality is the sense of authenticity. You are convince of the reality of the situation.

The riding crop and cane suggest that the man is telephoning either a professional dominatrix or possibly his sadistic girlfriend. They’d look the same.
I will confess an abiding pleasure in Eric Stanton’s tough and often physically powerful women.
I guess this man will read posted prohibitions in the future and Keep Out. A manly looking with helpless hunger at women of consierable personal and physical power. One of Eric Stanton’s favorite cover themes.
A gathering of a half dozen old sleazy paperback covers suggestive of cuckoldry. A couple may really just be swinging wife swappers of the 1970s. But Eric Stanton covers… And cuckolding her male spouse is some folks notion of Femdom swapping. (Some illiterate people confuse this with polyamory.) Get from the covers what erotic fantasy stuff as your imagination can take.
Gentle reader how do you feel about all this? Presumably that this man wearing an apron is being ordered around by the maid is proof of his surrendered, humiliated status. Not a Stanton cover that I care much for.
