Leon Roze was an early 20th century French illustrator and cartoonist. He did erotic illustrations for books. How much of it featured female sadists I don’t know. This is the only F/m drawing by him I’ve run across.

The usual elements: collar, whip, a touch of feminization with the corset on the man. Thankfully the woman isn’t wearing clichéd dominatrix drag. Not that the pink dress isns’t faintly risible. Really a great, highly entertaining cover.

Bizarre Nightmare is a pleasingly peculiar production featuring penis torture snd coprophilia (the latter is something that I don’t feature on Femdom Artists.
Masked Sadistic Villainess A few more images of that diabolical criminal mistress of mayhem and cruelty, Madame Brutal. (via) It is impossible to imagine a similar comic book being produced in America in the 1960s. With her mask, bikini top, garter belt and stockings Madame Brutal is pure dominatrix stereotype in look and style. Which is not necessarily a barrier to enjoyment or at least amusement.
I had a dream about BDSM on the moon. Sadly Madame Brutal was not part of it.
For a time Madame Brutal had a prosthetic leg. Something for amputee fetishists perhaps.

I like her, boots and a tie make a great combination. I also like the artist’s clean, simple line. Sadly I can’t attribute the drawings.

Venus Domina was the star of a comic book published by musician and entrepreneur Glenn Danzig’s Verotik comics. Even though I actually looked inside the comic I don’t recall anything about it. Two Dave Stevens covers.

Severin probably took his signature name from Venus in Furs. Severin is one of those mysterious artists who produced a small body of art focused on female domination and male slavery. Then vanished.
A Whip Doesn’t Make a Woman Dominant I remember the first time a guy told me that he thought Bettie Page looked cruel. I was startled. Whatever her attire she’s always looked like an old-fashioned version of the girl-next-door. I’ve always assumed that was a substantial portion of her perennial appeal. I’m not really fond of faux femdom art that uses a whip or visored cap to make a woman into a ‘dominatrix’ without giving her qualities that are really suggestive of dominance or sadism. What do you think?

Dominant Women and Bondage Slaves This issue of Dominate has a comparatively sane cover: some get a bit carried away and nutty. And it strikes a responsive chord with my own inner life.
I don’t know much Hollywood lore so I have no idea which actress was supposedly riding the back of which film star.
