Mistress with whip, thigh high boots and opera glove.
Drawn by Gene Bilbrew.

Bill Ward at his most awkward. Hard to be sure exactly what he is doing while she whips him.
I have no idea of Gene Bilbrew’s original intent. Make up your own scenario.
Was this produced under John Willie’s direction or influence?
Hopefully she’ll find another use for that hairbrush later.
Femdom Seapony?
Reproductions of Fantasia are hard to find. A pity since Gene Bilbrew’s covers seem atypiclly appealing and pretty.
Strictly an implied female domination cover. Not too difficult to twist your imagination with Gene Bilbrew.
A sadistic woman whipping a bound man as imagined by Gene Bilbrew working as Van Rod.
The covers of the first couple of issue of Fantasia that I saw were amusing, light. Lightness, a willingness to be gently playful are rare in fetish work. Being a man given to irony whose favorite things in life include P.G. Wodehouse and old musical comedies I regret this lack. But I don’t fault the artists. An attempt at wit can easily prove to be regrettable clownishness. And the paying customers often want severity.
Elsewhere a Fantasia cover with F/f art by (probably) Bill Alexander. Ordinarily I shy away from posting BDSM illustrations that show women in bondage on Femdom Artists. But both of these Gene Bilbrew covers have Femdomish elements.
Fantasia 19 has a Halloween themed Gene Bilrew cover.
Seems like there should be more Halloween F/m art. A feminization drawing by Gene Bilbrew “America’s Foremost Illustrator.” Feminization works out much more easily and successfully in illustrations than actuality. Sadly for those that crave and need the experience.
The Secretary Dominatrix is a very common white collar Femdom fantasy. You have role reversal, punishment for real or imagined wrongdoing and blackmail.
The Gene Bilbrew cover illustration is merely generic. Secretary’s Revenge was an Exotique Novelette. Pity the ancillary John Willie publications were collected along with the runs of Exotique and Bizarre. This Gene Bilbrew cover of She Stud puts me in mind of Eric Stanton. Stanton often enjoyed making visible the difference in power of a tough woman and a comparatively impotent man. She Stud must make quite a workout partner. Kinky in a vague sort of way.
Bilbrew made his fetish art debut in in 1951. He went on to create characters like Princess Elaine and Madame la Bondage. He used pseudonyms, including Van Rod, G.B. Bondy and Eneg. I’m fond of all of the illustrations Gene Bilbrew did under the name Van Rod. Like this one of manacle-wearing man at the feet of a dominant woman holding a cat.
Gene Bilbrew drew many exciting female sadists but sometimes his illustrations were pedestrian (to be kind). Perhaps Tortura Press didn’t pay well.
Or does the idea of being bound and whipped by women thrill you so deeply you don’t even think about the quality of the illustration. The first issue of Ultra magazine promised Wrestling Gals, Bizarre Fads and Exotic Fashion and sported a Gene Bilbrew cover.
Inside, a classic shorter and submissive Eric Stanton boyfriend or husband with the woman who rules him (a billy club? – ouch!).
And Gene Bilbrew again.
Looks much like Bizarre, Exotique and Fantasia magazines. |
