This drawing by Stig always makes a strong impression on me. It is the combination of the vulnerable, highly eroticized area of the body being whipped and the amazingly uncomfortable (and impossible) bondage.
The special pleasure of Stig’s femdom art is the awkward, uncomfortable position the men are put in for their assorted whippings and beatings.
The strangely detached, passionless expressions of the female who inflict pain is enticing, troubling and confusing. I’m reminded much of 1960s commercial – especially institutional – art. I wish exactly what Stig hoped to convey. I think Stig was strongly influenced by American institutional artwork of the 1960s. The linework – not the theme – reminds me of pamphlets banks used to hand out at the time.
Comparatively mild for Stig’s femdom art. The young Miss’ whip in action would be more typical.
One of the odder qualities of Stig’s images of female sadism is that the woman inflicting pain on their slaves seem so uninvolved. They barely seem to be aware that the man they are punishing is even present.
Often in Stig’s femdom drawings one young woman observes the male’s torments. Perhaps one woman is demonstrating how to punish men to another.
Looks like the teacher is instructing the young women in the art and science of hurting, punishing a male.
Imagine this as part of a school or university curriculum … Unusually symmetrical bondage for Stig who often favored havine the male bound in awkward positions that are probably painful in themselves. As always his tormentors look on dispassionately as they hurt him.
Eerily indifferent female sadists and awkward bondage are typical of Stig’s punishment scenes.
I’m a sucker for Stig’s particular approach. One of the satisfyingly eerie qualities of Stig’s F/m artwork is the seeming indifference of the women as they torment and humiliate men. Naturally in real life I want and involved and aroused sadist. But the notion of being hurt and degraded by someone who hardly seems to know whe is in the room blows the cerebral gaskets.
Imagine these women working airport security for the TSA.
Stig is one of those illustrators of female sadism who for a time almost smother my imagination. Awkward, uncomfortable bondage is something I find very compelling. This, the first drawing I recall seeing my Stig, captures that craving. One disadvantage of not having DIY stills is how hard it makes for you to contrive these conditions at home.
