I don’t remember this incident but I’m not really a fan of Venus in Furs.
This morbid image – women seemingly amused by a man’s death – isn’t typical of Suzanne Ballivet work. The majority of Ballivet’s illustrations show couples and groups enjoying their sexuality. Sometimes in manners teh majority would call perverse if not perverted.
