Is there an illustrator that you’ve always wished produced drawings or paintings of female domination, sadism?
My two F/m art wishes: Jean (Moebius) Giraud and Milo Manara. Especially Manara.
Among pin-up artists of decades gone by: Alberto Vargas. Not that artists like Gil Elvren and Earl McPherson.
Maybe a Peter Arno femdom gag cartoon.
There are plenty of fantasy artists who might have done impressive work. Imagine a Frank Frazetta Amazon with a whip. Or what could Boris Vallejo have painted?
Something by Olivia Berardinis would at least be impressively decorative.
Who do you wish had done femdom art. Among artists living or dead. What would they have drawn to arouse you?

Steve Ditko’s early work with Stanton makes me want more.
Ditko came to my mind as well. I’d forgotten his friendship with Eric Stanton. The quality of his best work and his somewhat outré are what make me wonder what sort of kinky art Ditko might have produced.
Other comic book artists: Will Eisner, Al Williamson, Ogden Whitney, Carmine Infantino, Neal Adams, Jim Steranko, Adam Hughes, Alex Ross.
A dominatrix by Richard Corben would be smoking hot!
I’d like to have seen John Willie drawing Gwendoline in a dominant role , or generally more femdom.
Having said that the F/f drawings he did were superb.
Willie’s pretty girls with canes and whips are huge favorites of mine.
+1 to Sardax
I’d like to see a Von Gotha femdom graphic novel.
Or, actually, any decent artist doing a real femdom story!
There are some nice looking European F/m graphic novels. Not sure how many. None of what I saw that impressed me favorably was in English.
Hi gilesenglish
It’s a good idea and has been suggested but though I’ve done one or two , comics or any sort of sequential art are not my forte. I’m not good with narrative, and would often need to collaborate on storyline
But more importantly who’d commission such a project? Graphic novels are labour intensive beasts and need a huge audience to justify the time and effort involved-which femdom sadly does not command like superheroes or horror genres. Von Gotha found a niche in the French bédé industry only as they preferred his sub female drawings and the market was thus substantally wider.
One publisher told me his market for subfem books was 4+ times bigger than femdom
If it has been done in Europe I’d be interested to see it .
Given more men have sub fantasies than dom ones, I find this odd truth, well, rather odd.
I wonder if it’s because the femdom comics aren’t quite done properly?
Erotic Graphic novels work best when they focus on the object of desire: What makes Sophie work is that we see her gradual corruption and change, and her wonderful reactions. The problem with a femdom story is that the story itself focusses on the male experience, but we straight male readers aren’t particularly interested in dwelling on another man’s dick.
I think I stumbled on the answer when captioning over at Indecisive. Since I was working with photo shoots, I literally had no male figures in the images. Instead, I created stories by assuming that the camera represented the male point of view. The visuals concentrated on the females, who drove the stories, and the short narrative boxes provided the male reaction. The punters seemed to like the end result…
There’s an example of what I mean here: http://chasteerotica.blogspot.com/2008/11/chaste-affair.html
Now, if I were working on an erotic comic, I’d want to go down a similar route: plenty of sub POV images, some with the sub in it, but seen from behind, and all dwelling on the dom; some wider angle situational images, like your recent throne room one on this site; very few images of the sub himself, and usually concentrating on his suffering – i.e. the whip hits his back – or on his reactions.
I also think there’s usually a basic deficiency in story telling, but I’ve blogged on that:

As for who would commission such a thing? No idea. If I were attempting such a project, I might go for a serial format, like Modesty Blaise or John Willie, rather than a full blown graphic novel and use it as a way of generating hits, or as a teaser for a subscription site, e.g. lower res version of last month’s strip on the landing page, latest hi-res version beyond the paywall.
Can you prove the assertion that more men have submissive fantasies than dominant ones?
God! Um. There was a survey a long time back, and in general there’s always a top shortage of both genders.
Study here: http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=bI-Jau14aLAC&pg=PA224&lpg=PA224&dq=research+on+male+submissive+fantasies&source=bl&ots=E9kgFbYzyk&sig=v-9ZYtes75m36zYwLY3gMhSKUQ4&hl=en&ei=J36PTIPJNMr14AbHzuXfDQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=8&ved=0CDwQ6AEwBw#v=onepage&q=research%20on%20male%20submissive%20fantasies&f=false suggests that it could be 50/50/
So, perhaps I’m wrong. However, I’m sure that males with submissive fantasies are not in a tiny minority.
You know how some gay guys see homosexuality everywhere. Many submissive men are like that.
Agreed. However, gays are still a sizable minority, and we’re only talking about people who enjoy submissive fantasies here, not collar-wearing subs.
IMHO The artist called SARDAX is the best for capturing the femdom scene I just wish he could do MORE!

Norman Rockwell!!
Rockwell would be ideal for homey domestic discipline, female led household scenes and situations.
Sorry folks, but my late personal friend Alberto Vargas did produce a few pics of mildly dominant ladies, under pressure of Hefner. A few stories of Eisner also feature dominant ladies, but they are hard to find. And of course Olivia has produced a few very good pics of dominant ladies, mostly nurses.
