I’m fond of all of the illustrations Gene Bilbrew did under the name Van Rod. Like this one of manacle-wearing man at the feet of a dominant woman holding a cat.

It is somehow amazing how Bilbrew was able to radically change his style, depending on the name he was using. And as you correctly point out, what he produced under the name of Van Rod was generally good.
Maybe a more generous client?
Incidentally hasn’t this one already come round recently-not that I’m complaining!
