I find the men as puppets them irresistible, though this is certainly a different take.
Rulah was a golden age comic book heroine published by the notorious Victor Fox:
Rulah, Jungle Goddess was a fictional character that appeared in comic books published by Fox Feature Syndicate. Rulah is a young aviatrix on a solo flight over Africa when her plane loses control and crashes. She replaces her clothes (which were destroyed in the crash) with a bikini made from the skin of a dead giraffe. Soon afterwards, Rulah saves a local tribe from an evil woman; the grateful tribespeople declare her queen.
Jungle heroine comics mostly derived from Sheena, the first such character. Atypically in these comics the woman often saved the man. The latter sometimes finding himself at her feet.
