Yes, and the original is better than the comic book.

  • When does Wanda start sissifying Severin in the book??

    • I’ve never the book readable. So I’ve only glanced at bits of it.

I did have the impression there was some crossdressing. But I guess not.

(I did enjoy the Dutch movie Venus in Furs – not to be confused with the Jesse Franco atrocity.)

  • I have just had the book translated (for my own version to be published at some point) so I’ve read it quite closely and found nothing involving cross-dressing or sissification. A little dressing in uniform, but that’s it. Strangely enough there is little sexual activity either-you have to seek it out amid huge chunks of philosophy, some good, some not so good.

  • There’s no cross-dressing in the original book. Crepax’s version is a fantasy inspired by Masoch’s novella, a very personal approach. He even adds Sigmund Freud as a charachter.
